My Experience
Bloomsburg University Streaming Network
I joined the Bloomsburg University Streaming Network (BUSN) in October 2024, and working with BUSN opened me up to the world of sports events broadcasting, specifically through my work behind the camera recording the games, working with different graphics to make sure I’m getting them up and down in a timely manner, or messing with the CCU to ensure the lighting is on point. In addition to the work study positions offered through BUSN, volunteer and class credit opportunities are also made available to allow Media and Journalism students to explore all our field has to offer.
Our live streams highlight different Bloomsburg Athletics teams, such as Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Women’s Field Hockey, Lacrosse, and Volleyball, and our Men’s Wrestling Team. Our dynamic team works together to ensure our streaming runs smoothly and is hassle-free for the friends, families, and athletic team’s supporters that tune in to show their unwavering encouragement to our Husky Athletes!

Marsh Creek Watersports
I started my role as Summer Camp Photographer in 2024 for Marsh Creek Watersports, where I’ve had countless opportunities to grow my photography portfolio and enhance my skills by working in a fast-paced, fun-filled Summer Camp with an exciting atmosphere! Each day of camp, I capture the excitement of campers sailing, kayaking, and paddle boarding- documenting their big smiles and candid fun for social media posts and picture packages for parents.
In addition to my role as a photographer, I also assist with our boat rental operations by checking guests in and out and ensuring they are well-prepared for a safe and enjoyable experience on the water. I provide an overview of safety protocols, ensure each guest is equipped with properly fitted life jackets, and answer any questions they may have about the equipment or the lake itself. My goal is to create a welcoming and secure environment so that every guest feels confident and has a memorable time on the water.

Media Services Loan Desk
In addition to my role with BUSN, I also began working behind our Media Services Loan Desk in February 2025. I continue my work with the BUSN team through renting and managing our media equipment that is offered to Bloomsburg University students. I check in and out the equipment, which ranges from microphones, tripods, video and photo cameras, batteries, and more.
Most students who come to take out equipment are Media and Journalism students or have a class requiring it, however our services are open to all Bloomsburg students. Each rental comes with a one-week loan period, however you can get an extension by simply stopping back in at the desk to renew your equipment!
